Your hosts -- Burt and Kim Young - are natives of Pittsburgh, Pa., and have spent vacations in the area for the last several years.  Our daughter and her husband live here, and we have come to love the life in and around the Chain of Lakes.  Adding to our enjoyment of Northern Michigan, we now have our first grandchild, and are looking forward to being close to him as he grows.  We've always had a dream of our perfect home....  A simple cottage, somewhere on water, close enough to walk into town for breakfast and groceries, and perhaps a cocktail in the evening.  We knew our dream had come true the first time we saw our cottage on the banks of Intermediate Lake. We love its quiet charm and its rustic beauty.  It is such a simple joy to sit on the deck, or on the screened-in porch, and just watch the water and the constantly changing wildlife.  We love boating and kayaking, and we can do both, right outside our door.   It only got better and better as we realized that this perfect cottage was only a 2 1/2 block walk into the village of Central Lake, and that we would be within a 40 minute drive of the metropolitan area of Traverse City, with its airport, shopping, arts and theater.  We hope that you enjoy our cottage, and our little slice of heaven in Michigan, as much as we do.  Whatever brings you to us, Welcome, and enjoy!
